Fish oil has proven to have tremendous benefits for human health and on this occasion, researchers from Ohio are showing even more stress-related benefits.
They found that the use of fish oil at even a small dose of 2.5g per day for 4 months, compared to a placebo, generated:
- A decrease in cortisol of 19%
- A decrease in pro-inflammatory protein IL6 of 33%
- And prevented the decrease of telomerase and anti-inflammatory protein expression after a stressful event by 24% and 20% respectively.
