Walnuts and Brain Health

Walnuts and Brain Health Benefits

Recently I spoke about the benefits of walnuts for cardiovascular health, and researchers from New York are showing us that they are also good for brain health.

In a review of the literature, the researchers found that diets where walnuts were consumed daily, can:

  • Improve cognitive function, memory, and verbal reasoning.
  • They can also improve learning skills, motor coordination, and anxiety-related behavior.
  • They can also decrease the oxidative stress caused by Amyloid Beta in the brain.
  • And they can slow down the progression of cognitive decline and dementia.

Walnuts are healthy!
