Walnuts and Brain Health Benefits
Recently I spoke about the benefits of walnuts for cardiovascular health, and researchers from New York are showing us that they are also good for brain health.
In a review of the literature, the researchers found that diets where walnuts were consumed daily, can:
- Improve cognitive function, memory, and verbal reasoning.
- They can also improve learning skills, motor coordination, and anxiety-related behavior.
- They can also decrease the oxidative stress caused by Amyloid Beta in the brain.
- And they can slow down the progression of cognitive decline and dementia.
Walnuts are healthy!
