Doing cardio after a lifting weights is a common practice in a large number of gyms around the world, but research has been telling us that falling under this advice, will impede hypertrophy and strength gains. For example, researchers from Japan showed that when the subjects did stationary bicycles after training arms, the increase in size was almost half when compared to the group that did the cardio the day after the weight training. Also, researchers from France and US found that the same is true when measuring strength gains.
