Science has shown that fat-burning and aerobic capacity are higher in the afternoon than in the morning.
Researchers from Granada conducted a trial evaluating if the use of caffeine can alter that fact of the human body.
They gave caffeine to the subjects at a dose of 3mg/kg of body weight, or a placebo 30 minutes before the trials and they found that caffeine significantly improved:
- Maximal fat oxidation rate by 10.7% in the morning and 29% in the afternoon.
- VO2Max by 3.9% in the morning and 3,2% in the afternoon.
- The intensity of the exercise by 11.1% in the morning and 13.1% in the afternoon.
This is one more research that shows the powerful effects of caffeine on human performance
