Animal vs. Plant Proteins for Muscle Building
One of the main reasons to go to the gym is to build muscles because the muscular system is the main organ of longevity and health and supporting our training efforts with the right type of protein is very important.
Researchers from Singapore conducted a meta-analysis comparing the muscle-building effects of animal and plant proteins, and they found that animal proteins are significantly better muscle builders, providing better improvements in body composition, especially in populations below 50 years of age.
Researchers mentioned that difference can be due to the increased muscle protein synthesis generated with animal proteins.
