A great recipe for your carb or re-feed day.
Bonus: If you are dairy intolerant, I have a special version added at the bottom.
INGREDIENTS:
- 8 ounces (240ml) of organic whole milk
- 2 cage free eggs
- 2 ounces (60ml) of melted butter
- 8 ounces (240ml) of apple sauce (Whole Foods Organic Applesauce with berries was his favorite)
- 2 full scoops of Whey Protein from ATP
- 1-2 cups of King Arthur Gluten Free Pancake Mix
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch cardamom
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Put all liquid ingredients into a blender.
- Turn on the blender and gradually add the dry ingredients until you have a smooth batter.
- Pre-heat your skillet at a medium heat.
- Add 1 tsp of butter to your pan before frying each set of your pancakes.
- Pour in batter about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter.
- Cook until bubbles come up to the surface of the pancakes.
- Flip pancakes and cook until they are ready.
Enjoy with your favorite topping!

- 4 oz (120ml) almond milk
- 4 cage free eggs
- 2 oz (60ml) avocado Oil
- 2 cups of Namaste Gluten Free Pancake & Waffle Mix
- 8 oz (240ml) of applesauce (my favorite is Organic Applesauce with cinnamon)
- 2 full scoops of Paleo Protein (my favorite is Pure Beef from Nutri-Dyn)
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla

My go to toppings are strawberries, blueberries, or bananas with pure maple syrup.

You can substitute the gluten free pancake mix with any brand you prefer.

Cinnamon has high antioxidant activity, supports digestion, and has anti-inflammatory and blood-sugar-lowering properties.
Nutmeg is rich in antioxidants (such as phenolic compounds, essential oils, and plant pigments), has anti-inflammatory properties, and may boost libido.
Cardamom strengthens the body’s immune response, improves digestion, and may decrease elevated liver enzymes, triglyceride and cholesterol levels.
