Cannabinoids have been in the scope of science because they have a large potential for improving different conditions. In this promising study from King’s College London researchers, they tested the use of CBD in psychotic patients, who have an altered activity and connectivity between different areas of the brain. After a single dose of 600 mg of CBD fMRI showed a tendency to normalization of the connections and functions of the different parts of the brain involved in this condition. For obvious reasons, this is just a first step in the search for the effect of long-term cannabinoid use on brain disorders.
