Dairy Consumption and Insulin Resistance

Dairy Consumption and Insulin Resistance

I do not promote dairy consumption, and this research backs up my point of view.

To assess changes in insulin sensitivity, researchers had a group of 272 women weigh their food for 7 days and then classify them based on their dairy consumption.

After adjusting for all confounding variables, the researchers found that the group that had the highest consumption of dairy on a daily basis also had the highest reduction in insulin sensitivity markers.

The researchers also mentioned that high consumption of dairy may lead to decreased insulin sensitivity over time.
