We know that creatine has important and positive effects on the muscular system and researchers from the University of Tokyo are showing us how creatine also has a positive impact on the brain.
They had the subjects do a series of extended mathematical calculations and they found that when the subjects were given 8 grams of creatine during the 5 days prior to the tests, the performance on the tests provided was better, and mental fatigue was reduced.
Scientists say that the higher levels of creatine in the brain help the brain cells work harder with higher oxygen consumption.
